Description

Featuring a delicious selection of some of our favourite Pinot Gris wines! Classic floral aromatics intertwine perfectly with juicy fruit flavours on a succulent palate and refreshing acidity throughout this collection; what's not to love?

Collection includes:

1 x Kumeu River Estate Pinot Gris 2022

The aromas have typical peach and stone fruit notes tinged with the floral perfume that we have come to expect from Pinot Gris. On the palate the wine is rich and complex with a lively texture on the palate.

Food Pairing: Pinot Gris is a variety that goes particularly well with food, including quite intensely flavoured dishes. It is also one of the few wine styles that can handle the spiciness of chilli, so together with the sweet succulence of prawns, a nicely chilled bottle of Kumeu River Pinot Gris makes up a spectacular combination.

Alc: 14.5%

1 x Quartz Reef Single Vineyard Central Otago Pinot Gris 2022

A bouquet of white peaches, apricot kernel and honeysuckle is followed by a delicious creaminess with a hint of sweet and salty flavours with floral honey lingering on your palate. Soft layers and delightful elegance.

Food Pairing: Happily matched with a slightly spiced meal, or ‘Charcuterie’ platter.

1 x Rapaura Springs Reserve Marlborough Pinot Gris 2023

AWARDED GOLD MEDAL: Aotearoa Regional Wine Competition 2023
AWARDED 94/100 POINTS & 5 STARS: Sam Kim, Wine orbit, Jun 2023
AWARDED 92/100 POINTS & 4 STARS: Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2023

"Charming and immediately appealing, the inviting bouquet shows rockmelon, Asian pear, Gala apple and jasmine aromas, leading to a finely expressed palate offering bright fruit flavours with fleshy texture, finishing long and tasty. Delightfully elegant yet persistent with plenty of delectable flavours. At its best: now to 2026" Sam Kim, Wine orbit, Jun 2023

"Fresh, bright Pinot Gris with an array of tree-ripened fruit flavours including pear, quince and apple. A little sweetness is evident on the initial taste but it is nicely balanced by crisp acidity to give a refreshing finish" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2023

Our Reserve Pinot Gris has inviting nashi pear, apricot, and rock melon aromas, with a hint of spice. Full of fruit character, but not too sweet, this off-dry wine is delightfully drinkable. The flavours linger long after your glass is empty.

1 x Framingham Marlborough Pinot Gris 2023

Awarded 92/100 Points: Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Nov 2023

"A very tempting dry expression of Gris with core flavours of fresh and preserved apples and pears, there’s a light cider and sweet lager quality note highlighting the use of lees, there’s also a light citrus quality adding breadth across the flavour spectrum. Moderately weighted with medium+ acid line, some tension from the phenolics accentuating the citrus and youthful side of the wine, and fruit flavours along with spice notes that bring together the wines attributes very nicely. Well made, a food wine with best drinking from 2023 through 2026" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Nov 2023

Aromatics of red apple, nougat and flinty savoury elements. Intense, richly textured, and supple palate with elements of stone fruit whilst finishing with vivid quartz like persistence.

Alc: 13.7%

1 x Framingham Nobody's Hero Marlborough Pinot Gris 2022

Awarded 90/100 Points & 4 Stars: Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Sep 2022

"Soft, fleshy pinot gris with honeysuckle, stewed pear, apple and root ginger flavours supported by gentle acidity and fine, peppery phenolics. Offers good value at this price" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Sep 2022

Aromas of red apple, pears, and spice. Flavours of baked apple, pear and ripe white peach. Generous and supple on the palate with a persistent finish. Easy to drink on its own, or to match with food.

Food Pairing: Rich pork dishes, or roast chicken and smoked salmon.

"It's delightfully ripe and elegantly expressed with poached pear, rockmelon, fig and subtle spice aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate offering juicy flavours with fleshy texture and zesty acidity. Upfront and vibrant, making it instantly appealing. At its best: now to 2026" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jul 2023

Aromatically alluring with stone fruit, fresh pear and a hint of ginger spice, the complex, juicy flavours are balanced with a subtle lusciousness.

Awesome selection. A great way to try new brands without having to buy 6 bottles of the same one.
