Description

"Quite a ripe and flavoursome example of Alexandra Pinot Noir with lush plum, dark cherry, spice and thyme, plus a pleasing thread of taut, mineral character. Approachable now but with cellaring potential" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Aug 2019

"A fabulously expressed Pinot; the wine is wonderfully fruited on the nose showing black cherry, plum, toasted almond and floral characters with nuances of game and warm spice. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity and fleshy mouthfeel, beautifully supported by silky texture and a lingering flowing finish. At its best: now to 2022" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2018

A medium to dark purple with pink hues in the glass, this Pinot Noir is fragrant with lifted florals, red berry fruits and spice. A lovely sweet and juicy palate with black and red cherry, ripe black plum and spice will fill the palate. Medium bodied, plush and complex, this wine is plush with velvety silky tannins and a long and generous red fruit finish.

The fruit (Clones 777, 115 and 114) was hand harvested on the 12th of April 2017 at average of 21.7 brix and was de-stemmed into an open top stainless steel tank. Fermentation was carried out by select yeast until the wine was dry.  The wine was aged in French Oak barriques for approximately 10 months, of which 27% was new oak.

Food Pairing: Antipasto, roast chicken and seafood.
