International Wine Challenge 2017

"The wine is generously fruited and instantly appealing with cassis, blueberry jam, vanilla and cigar characters on the nose, leading to a beautifully weighted palate that is supple and silky. The wine offers youthful charm as well as elegant complexity, finishing delightfully long and succulent. At its best: now to 2021" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, May 2018.

Deep garnet red with purple highlights in the glass. The bouquet has excellent fruit intensity, combining ripe black fruits of blackcurrant and blackberry alongside flattering toasty, spicy notes. Round and smooth on the palate with velvety tannins. Long fruity aftertaste with notes of vanilla and liquorice.

Sourced from the Languedoc Roussillon region situated along the Mediterranean sea in different terroirs that add complexity and richness to the wine. A selection of the vines are located in the coolest areas of the Languedoc region near Limoux, which experience a wide temperature range between cool nights and warm days. Whilst grapes were also sourced from the Gard region where the weather is warmer.

In the winery grapes were de-stalked and crushed before being fermented in stainless steel vats. Micro oxygenation took place before malolactic fermentation to enhance the colour and to supple the tannins.

Food Pairing: Pairs well with grilled red meat, pasta, spicy dishes and cheese.

Heather - 02/04/2020

Once left to breathe for a few minutes, this is an excellent drop, not too heavy, good bouquet, easy drinking, with most types of meals.

John - 21/10/2019

Very nice Bordeaux blend, clean and fruit driven. More raspberry than the expected blackcurrant ie lighter. Nice bit of oak, well balanced. Good value.

Simon - 07/09/2019

Very nice drop.
