Description
Big call, but we’ll go on line to claim this tasty number as quite possibly THE white wine bargain of the year. Crafted by Waipara Hills, the power house producer of North Canterbury, this wine has only recently been released and it’s already heaving with gold and star reviews. Snap it up Pinot Gris fans, this will disappear in a flash.

Sourced from the Home Block and Deans vineyards in the Waipara Valley with deep, free draining Glasnevin gravels. Pale green and yellow. Aromas of crisp red apple, quince and hint of nougat. Apple, pear and nougat flow through the palate finishing with a touch of ginger and a crisp acidity.
Harvested primarily in the morning, the fruit was pressed immediately to preserve flavour. The juice was left to settle until very clean, then racked, warmed and inoculated, with a range of yeasts. Regular stirring for a month, until finally blended using natural methods.

This wine is not as good as the billing, and I am wondering why this wine won a Trophy its a 3.5-4 star wine to my and my wife's assessment, are you actually getting the wine that won the trophy or something thats being passed off as that wine, it happens a bit in the wine industry that the wine that was show entered is not what's in the bottle.
