Description

- Apricot & pear
- Ginger spice
- Juicy acidity
"Beautifully ripe and elegantly perfumed with apricot, pear, rockmelon and lemon peel aromas, it's succulent and gorgeously rounded in the mouth delivering lovely fruit purity and silky flow. Splendidly supported by juicy acidity, making it delectably appealing. At its best: now to 2025" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
"Excellent bouquet - fresh and vibrant, varietal and new. Aromas and flavours of quince and fresh green pear skin, a whisper of citrus then red apple flesh. Plush, fresh and salivating on the palate with core flavours that mirror the bouquet, plenty of acidity, a fine layer of minerality and fine lees quallity. Balanced and well made with a new, fresh and lengthy palate. Great drinking from day of purchase and through end of Summer 2025" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier
A ripe opulent style of Pinot Gris full of lifted floral, pear drop and ginger aromas. The palate is lush with citrus, peach and tropical flavours, a rich concentrated texture and long spicy mineral finish.
The fruit for this wine was grown on the wineries home vineyard. The combination of free draining soils and a cool, dry climate make this an ideal site for ripening aromatic Pinot Gris. The long growing season and naturally low yields of small berried grapes mean we consistently harvest concentrated fruit.
The focus in the winery is to capture the pure fruit flavours that come in from the vineyard. The grapes were harvested and gently pressed before the juice was immediately clarified. Fermentation occurred at cool temperatures with selected yeast strains to release the aromatic potential in the juice. After fermentation the wine rested on yeast lees to enhance mouthfeel before blending and preparation for bottling.
Food Pairing: Great on its own, this Pinot Gris is great with a wide range of foods, including pizza, seafood or pulled pork sliders.

Delicious! And has all the characteristics of a good classic Pinot Gris. Great colour, pear and citrus. Will order more for sure.

Pleasant Alsace style
Rod - 26/05/2023
Gave it a try, but found the taste a little bland for my liking. Prefer a more mineraly style with flavours that stand out.
David - 20/10/2023
A pleasant drink. Good value. However not yet up to the high standard of the 2001 vintage which I purchased continually.
Bruce - 11/11/2022
