Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
Description
"Fleshy and flavoursome, this likable cabernet shows dark fruit, mixed spice, vanilla and cocoa characters, enhanced by smooth texture and juicy fruit intensity. Tannins are soft and silky, providing lovely frame to this fruity red. At its best: now to 2017." Sam Kim Wine Orbit, July 2016
Flexing it’s New World muscle, it is boldly styled and concentrated, the plum, berry and spice characters supported by some judiciously supply tannins.
At Chateau Los Boldos, French Old World winemaking techniques collide with Chile's vibrant New World terroir in this property located 100 kilometres south of Santiago at the foot of the Andes. In 1990 the Massenez family from Alsace purchased the property one of Chile's oldest wineries and its highly valuable parcels of 66-year-old Cabernet Sauvignon and 55-year-old Merlot vines.
