"Made from 100% pinot noir from the Northburn vineyard. It's a pretty, pale-tinted rosé with a peaches and cream texture and subtle strawberry and watermelon characters. A charming wine supported by a line of tangy acidity" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Feb 2022

"It's fabulously expressed on the nose showing watermelon, apricot, red apple and floral nuances, leading to a brilliantly light palate that's juicy and lingering. Pristine and elegant with a gorgeous silky finish. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Dec 2021

"Bright, even, pale blush pink. The nose is soft, fragrant and full, packed with aromas of white and red blossom, strawberries and pomegranate. The aromas are fresh and fragrant. Medium-light bodied, dry to taste, elegantly presented on the palate with concentrated nuances of field berries and pomegranate, enriched by black pepper, rich rose petals, and white floral. The fruit is bright and light on the palate, enhanced by rich floral aromas, and spice elevates the finish. Lively acidity is balanced and crisp, very moreish. Serve as an aperitif or match with prawn salad over the next 2-3 years. 100% Pinot Noir, whole bunch pressed, fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc, left on light lees for a short time. Vegan friendly" Candice Chow, Raymond Chan Reviews, Oct 2021

"Distinctive, pure and refreshing bouquet of fresh strawberry and farmer’s market red apples. There’s a floral outline and simple minerality. Equally pure, ripe and refreshing on the palate. Flavours of berries and apple reflect the palate along with flavours of local botanicals and citrus peel adding individuality and complexity. Crisp, salivating and dry, a balanced and well made wine. Best drinking from the day of purchase and through 2023" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2021

"A super pretty pink with a lovely silvery hue. Bold aromas of confected strawberry, watermelon, juicy citrus and red cherry with hints of vanilla. The palate is very textural and creamy, cherry, raspberry, white peach flavours and a beautiful, soft acidity rounding out the finish" The Wine Writer, Angie Atkinson

This fresh, mineral wine is made entirely from Pinot Noir. Hand picked fruit and minimal skin contactensures a brilliantly pale and clear wine with intense aromas of raspberry sherbet, pears and spice. The palate shows fresh red berries, stonefruit and defined minerality.

The Northburn vineyard forms the backbone of this unique wine, with bright fresh acids and delicate flavours and aromas. The highly reflective Schist soils allow for even ripening and lend a distinctly mineral character balanced by ripe fruit generosity.

The 2021 season started with warm and wetweather, leading to rapid early season growth and excellent vine health. Windy weather overflowering and a warm late Summer period resultedin lower yields of perfectly ripe fruit, with excellent flavour concentration.

Hand picked grapes were delicately whole bunch pressed using a long and gentle pressure to ensure the minimum of colour was extracted from the skins. A very cool and long fermentation in stainless steel was used topreserve the delicate aromatics and elegants tructure typical of this wine, while a period oftime on light lees built mid palate texture and depth.

The Life Series captures the essence of Te Kano’s Estate vineyards, using parcels of fruit from across our subregions to give a snapshot of the season and our unique expression of Central Otago.
