This wine is rich with seductive red fruit aromas with delicate oak and a cola complexity. The palate has a fine structure of oak and fruit tannin layered with flavours of strawberry and plum.
This wine is from grapes grown in Leveret Estates Riverview and Kinross vineyards in Hawke’s Bay.
The grapes for this wine were harvested and transported to the Riverview winery. The fruit was pressed into stainless steel fermentation vessels and inoculated with a range of yeast strains but principally “D254”. Following fermentation, the wine was inoculated for malolactic fermentation and run off to barrel for maturation. The wine spent around 12 months in oak before being blended and tankered to our Katikati winery for finishing and bottling.
