The Sisters – wine for women who do extraordinary things, every day. That’s us! Every day, we’re achieving a huge amount, and yet those messages keep coming to do more, be more, achieve more. Can we just stop for a moment, reflect on, and celebrate our many achievements with our girlfriends? We think so.

"Sweetly ripe and inviting, the bouquet shows dark cherry, clove, roasted nut, floral and subtle mushroom notes, leading to a supple palate offering juicy fruit intensity together with lovely silky flow, finishing smooth and delectable" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Sep 2021

Bright ruby red, this fruity Pinot Noir offers an enticing nose of ripe, berry fruit. It is juicy and smooth with a velvety texture and lots of sweet raspberry and cherry flavours together with a touch of spice.  Gentle tannins provide backbone but don’t overpower this attractive wine.

2019 was a really good year – they picked some of the best Pinot Noir they’ve ever seen! A lovely warm harvest period meant they could leave the grapes on the vine for maximum flavour development.

Made with grapes from their Southern Valley and Awatere Valley vineyards, the fruit was ripe and juicy with a good balance of acidity. The grapes underwent cold maceration for just under a week, prior to small-batch fermentation. After two to three weeks on skins, the wine was pressed off. 75% was matured in barrel (predominantly older oak, three to five years old) for ten months while the rest remained in tank. The wine was not fined so is vegan-friendly. Alcohol content 13%.

The Sisters is a proud and committed supporter of Dress for Success. Wine by Lawson’s Dry Hills made at their own vineyards. 100% certified sustainable and carbon-zero.

Food Pairing: Pinot Noir loves food, especially roast lamb, game, ham, seared salmon, seared tuna, Asian flavours and anything off the barbecue.

Fined with egg (1g per 9000 litres).

I am usually a rose or a sparkling wine woman, but this Pinot Noir is so smooth and juicy that it has helped me extend my palate! Well done The Sisters!

J
This wine continues to be fizzy for several days after opening, detracting from enjoyment of the wine.
