Description

  • Summer fruit
  • Crisp nectarine
  • Rose petal & fresh herbs
  • Elegant dry style

"This is the real McCoy for this price point. The freshness here is undeniable, as it exudes citrus, rose  petals, nectarines, sliced dill and coriander and the signature strawberries and cream. Flavour and intense on the medium to full-bodied palate yet so very restrained and elegant. Super-value wine as always. Drink now" James Suckling, Jamessuckling.com

"Very youthfull with restrained power, supple, built with mild acidity and firm density, well-structure, slightly phenolic in the middle of the palate, berry-like in the finish. A high quality Summer Rosé for pool and terrace" Falstaff

"This is a sublime vintage for Whispering Angel building on its magical reputation by adding an otherworldly texture to the already ravishing perfume and taste. Indeed the flavour is the embodiment of its name like never before" Matthew Jukes

"Delicate, with minerally undertone flanking the white cherry, peach and raspberry notes, interwoven with spice and herb details. Lingering finish. Grenache, Rolle Syrah, Cinsault and Tibouren. Drink now" Wine Spectator

"A blend of Grenache, Rolle and Cinsault. It certainly has bags of fruit in the aroma, not only tangy citrus peel but small red berries and a delicate more floral and rose-hip perfume. In the mouth it is bone-dry, with precision to the fruit and a sense of both substance and finesse" Tom Cannavan's Wine-Pages.com

Grapes grown from some of the most idyllic land in the surrounding region of La Motte en Provence, consisting primarily of Grenache, Cinsault, Rolle (Vermentino), Syrah and Tibouren.

Harvesting at sunrise to noon. The grapes which are used to make Whispering Angel are sorted optically. Destemming and slight crushing at 7-8°C to avoid oxidation. Both the free run juice and pressed juices are vinified in stainless steel. Bâtonnage occurs twice weekly. Temperature controlled.
