In the 9th Century marauding Vikings invaded Bordeaux. Having skirted the Médoc they settled in the area today known as "Les Eyraux". Legend has it the invaders, partial to the local wine let one winemaker keep his life in exchange for a few barrels of the best wine. Today iconic Bordeaux winemakers Coureau and Coureau produce this Merlot dominated blend exporting it to discerning clients from around the globe.
