Description

"Wonderfully fruited and inviting, the bouquet shows ripe stone fruit, poached pear, floral and subtle spice aromas, followed by a beautifully rounded palate that is fleshy and supple. The wine offers attractive fruit intensity backed by refreshing acidity, making it delightfully drinkable. At its best: now to 2021" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Jun 2019

An easy drinking Pinot Gris with flavours of melon, nashi and jasmin with a hint of ginger followed with a viscosity and a great length on the finish. Best enjoyed within three years of release.

This Mystery Nelson Pinot Gris was selected from selected contract growers in the Nelson Region. Predominantly from Vineyards situated on ancient river beds with stony, alluvial soils.

Although growing conditions were less than ideal with sporadic rain over vintage, the low crop levels and diligent vineyard husbandry produced this Mystery Pinot Gris grapes with great flavour and finesse.

Food Pairing: This elegant, fleshy wine makes a perfect aperitif, or serve chilled (11°c) with fresh fish.
