Deep ruby red with violet reflections in the glass. Experience intense aromas, with notes of plum and cherry, spicy, with rosemary and vanilla scents. A full-bodied wine, soft and balanced, easy to drink.

At the heart of Italy's ancient villages, from high balconies and white terraces, this wine whispers good luck to passers-by. It is born of the clay that once nourished the vineyards. It is a flower as it blooms, a peach on the tree, a grape on the vine.

Food Pairing: Savoury first courses, red meat and game, mature cheese. Serve between 16-18°C.

Seal: Cork - Alc: 13.5%

2 x Miopasso Primitivo di Puglia 2017 (Italy)

Awarded 93/100 Points: Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

Awarded Gold Medal: Sakura Wine Awards 2019

"Gorgeously fruited and richly expressed, the bouquet shows blackberry, Black Doris plum, vanilla, roasted hazelnut and mixed spice aromas, followed by a concentrated palate that is plump and fleshy. The wine offers terrific fruit power and velvety mouthfeel, backed by silky tannins. At its best: now to 2021. Jan 2019" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

2 x Canapi Sicily Nero D’Avola 2018 (Italy)

Awarded Gold Medal: Gilbert & Gaillard International Challenge 2019

Canapi is back! After a couple of years in the shadows this juicy easy drinking red is back by popular demand, and the great news is that it has just been awarded a Gold Medal!

We're in love with the great value wines of Sicily. And nothing we've found so far is a better advertisement for them than the 'Canapi' wines. One of our biggest-selling wines, Canapi Nero d'Avola is fantastic example of the ripe, plummy, super easy-drinking reds that are coming out of Sicily these days.  The Gold Medal winning 2018 Canapi is full of ripe red berry aromas and flavours supported by soft tannins.
