"Full, even, dark ruby-red colour with slight purple hues, a little lighter on the rim. The nose is softly full with freshly ripe aromas of dark raspberry fruit and dark plums along with a very fine line with an amalgam of dark herbs and violet florals. This is bright and youthful in expression. Medium-full bodied, the palate has rich, juicy and plump fruit flavours of dark-red berry fruit with raspberries, dark plums and suggestions of liquorice. A delectably dark ruby red in the glass, this Pinot Noir is brimming with rich red fruit flavour undercut with a fresh herbal, floral note. Slight spiced and elegantly textured, this wine is not one to miss.

This hand crafted wine comes from the best fruit from the cooler 2017 vintage. A lack of warmth through April made ripening the grapes a challenge, but it presented the winemaker with smaller berries leading to deeper concentration of flavours.

The wine spent 9 months on barrel, 24% new oak, and the characteristics of thyme and cherry reflect the site nicely. The wine will impress now but also will reward a few years in the cellar.
