Description
Bright vibrant red with purple hues in the glass. Dark plum fruits and red berry notes, complimented with a hint of sweet spice and savoury notes. Medium bodied palate with rich and intense fruit. The tannins are long and silky, lingering with fruit spice.
The pure waters of New Zealand have been the lifeblood of Rapaura Springs for over 30 years. From their pioneering aquaculture roots, to their family vineyard beside the Rapaura Sping. It is the crystal clear water from these Springs that inspires the care and respect the winemakers have for their own backyard and is reflected in the purity of their wines.
The beginning to the season was very late but an extremely warm summer followed by an early autumn period. Record Grower Degree Gays were experienced over January and February due to unusually consistent warmth. This vintage delivered juicy and succulent wines that present dark fruits with plenty of colour. They are structured but soft and rich with plenty of body.

Pour a half glass out of the bottle and let the bottle breathe for an hour. It makes this very good wine even better. I hope it cellars well.
