Cave de Roquebrun St Chinian Cuvee Prestige is an exciting new red from St Chinian region of Southern France. It is a classic velvety Grenache, enhanced with a little peppery, blackberry rich Syrah. Well ripened in the warm sunshine of 2015, and very moreish – Southern French red at its most appealing best.

Created from 60+-year-old vines (80% Grenache and 20% Syrah) from the schist soils of Maury in the Roussillon. Yes, the 2016 Le Grenache Dans La Peau is a big, ripe wine, but it avoids going over the top into surmaturité. The fruit is black cherries and plum, without raisiny or chocolaty notes. Raised exclusively in tank, it's a bold mouthful of dark fruit for drinking over the next several years" Wine Advocate

The 2016 Grenache Dans la Peau is a new wine for me and checks in as a blend of 80% Grenache and 20% Syrah from 60+-year-old vines planted in the black schist soils of Maury (in the Roussillon). Its deep ruby purple color is followed by sensational notes of black raspberries, blueberries, crushed violets, spice and licorice. This big, rich wine has plenty of fat and opulence, integrated acidity, and a great finish. It's not for those craving lightweight aromas and flavors, but has gorgeous purity" Jeb Dunnuck
