A delicate, shimmering, but personality-packed pink... it really is a Provence Benchmark

In the Esclans valley Angels whisper, if you drink this wine, you might hear them... if you visit us, you might see them.

"I have been tracking this wine since day one - and I mean eleven years ago when Sacha Lichine realised his dream to launch an elite Provence Rosé. As every year rolls by Whispering Angel reaches out to thousands more palates. Nowadays millions of bottles are made, but the remarkable thing about this wine is that while its fame grows exponentially, the quality in the glass continues to march forwards too... This is another sensual silky-smooth enthralling release and it comes in a vintage when there were many challenges during the growing season. Perhaps a little more forward than the 2016, this wine is already drinking beautifully. Whispering Angel casts its spell with unerring accuracy and it will continue to shine in the glass and impress all-comers throughout 2018." Matthew Jukes

"Bright salmon pink, fine silver reflections. Delicate red forest berry confit underlayed with fruity-fresh hints of grapefruit and peach. Balanced, nuances of raspberries and cherries. The texture - pleasantly dry and drink-stimulating, mineral-lemony touch in the reverberation, fresh addicting acidity. Drink well chilled at the edge of the pool for that pure summer feeling." Flagstaff

"Beautiful very pale rose petal colour, lifted florality on the nose with light red fruits - raspberries, strawberries - and a pure expression of summer on the palate very elegantly expressed, some interesting complexity to come and finely balanced finish." Steven Spurrier

"Very fresh, fruity with citrus. Has a hint of tangerine and possibly watermelon. Deliciously dry to the end, dangerously good to drink – caution on a hot day when this Rosé Chilled is so easy to drink in the heat. But oh so fun! With a pale salmon color, Whispering Angel makes a pretty picture and is so refreshing you can drink it noon to night. The 2017 vintage of Whispering Angel Rosé is the best Sacha Lichine & Patrick Leon have made to date at this price point." Maybe Yes No - The Reviews Wrap

Showcasing an irresistible pale pink in the glass, this wine has delicate aromas displaying white florals, citrus and white stone fruit. There is a signature irresistible silk texture on the palate. Charming, refreshing, refined and with plenty of juicy, enticing, strawberry and berry fruit. Drinkable is an understatement!

The first traces of the chateau’s site date back to Gaullist times during which its location served as a lookout point to spot intruders coming by boat into the Gulf of Frejus.

Optically sorted this wine was destemmed and slightly crushed at 7-8°c to avoid oxidation. 90% free run juice, 10% first slight pressing. Alcoholic fermentation in new and second-year demi-muids (600 L barrels). Burgundian style maturation for 10 months. Batonnage twice weekly, with individual barrel temperature control.

Food Pairing: Pair with lightly grilled steaks, salmon, other fish dishes and salads, as well as cheese or simply enjoy on its own!

Truly Provence in a glass - not too dry, not to sweet, refreshingly crisp and hands down my favourite Rose. Almost too good to share!
