Floral and lemon aromas with subtle underlying tropical notes, follow seamlessly through to the palate. Beautifully balanced with mouth-watering acidity resulting in a truly fruity wine with a long lingering finish. Residual sugar 10.1g/l.
The Allan Scott Wines Moorlands block, where this fruit is sourced, directly surrounds the winery and contains some of the oldest Riesling vines in Marlborough, some of these vines are now nearly 30 years of age. Due to their maturity this vineyard consistently produces quality fruit year after year. The 2017 vintage saw Marlborough experience an awesome summer, with hot, dry days ensuring great growing conditions. With only one rain event during harvest, this may be one of the best growing seasons.
Best served lightly chilled. Allan Scott Riesling is guaranteed to improve for many years if carefully cellared.
