Description
'90 Points.. this high-rye Bourbon (which oddly, doesn't say “Bourbon”on the label though it meets the basic criteria) is bold and spicy, and plays well in cocktail
combinations. A big oak and vanilla mix finishes with clove, dried cherry, and a surprising, bright touch of lemon peel. It's not distilled in Colorado, but is cut with Rocky Mountain water.' - Kara Newman, Wine Enthusiast.
The nose offers citrus, black pepper and ginger snap. This bold and spicy bourbon has a short and clean finish and offers rye spice, cinnamon and caramel. Aged for a minimum of four years in American white oak barrels with a number three char.
Tincup is a classic American Whiskey. It has a bourbon style profile with a bold and spicy finish. It's cut to proof with what we believe is the best water in the world, direct from the Rockies. The taste of a whiskey largely depends on the quality of water used to cut it down to proof. This is why we cut our whiskey to proof with Rocky Mountain spring water, and hand bottle it in Colorado. The result is a smooth yey bold whiskey.
The inspiration behind this bourbon comes from the 'Tincup Co.', which was an old mining town set on the western side of the Rockies named after the old cups the miners would drink from. The name Tincup Whiskey and the cap on the bottle are both nods to this piece of Colorado history. After all, when the miners came through Colorado they didn’t ask for a mango-infused vodka – they wanted whiskey.
For for enjoying with friends in the great outdoors.
