Description
Purple red with violet hints. Plums and black fruits, spices, with floral notes and chocolate. Delicate notes of fruit and oak, juicy tannins, unctuous and long.
Nuna is a Quechua word meaning “soul” and is the name with which we decided to christen our Agrelo vineyard, having been the foundation of our project and where our winery is located.
This vineyard has been converted to organic methods in 2012 and has been certified organic since vintage 2014 and is also certified biodynamic “in transition”. Organic viticulture views the soil as a living ecosystem that evolves to create diversity and minimize inputs. Through the addition of compost, green manures and mulches, organic methods promote microbial life in the soil, which enhances its structure and its nutrient cycling capacities. An improved structure creates the conditions for a more balanced vine development that reduces the need of water and nutrients and optimizes its physiological processes for optimum maturity.
