Carignan, Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, Saint Chinian’s classic cocktail of grapes, unleash a Bacchanalian orgy of flavour thanks to a fruit forward style of winemaking. They are crafted by Alain Rogier, 2015 the IWC Winemaker of the Year, at the Cave de Roquebrun, which ranks among the finest wineries in Southern France.

1 x Torre Oria Reserva 2011 (Spain)

AWARDED 4 STARS & 88/100 POINTS: Sam Kim, The Wine Orbit

Where else can you buy mellow barrel-aged reds of such remarkable quality and price? Not only is today’s Spanish wine scene “among the most vibrant, dynamic and creative in the world” (Tim Atkin MW), but it offers arguably the best value in the world at the moment.

This brilliantly priced tempranillo/cabernet blend offers attractive fruit flavours of red/black cherry and plum with mixed spice and nutmeg characters. It is juicy and gently weighted on the palate, and shows appealing fruit flavours, backed by fine tannins which provide a lengthy, pleasingly dry finish. A delightful Spanish red for everyday drinking. Sam Kim

Calling all Labrador owners! It’s a berry bomb and absolutely delicious. And in case you’re wondering… yes, the owner of this winery is a Lab owner.

Lab Vinho Tinto is a very aromatic red packed with berry fruit and plummy complexity. Notes of ripe black and red fruits. On the palate, juicy plums and dark berry fruit flavours with plenty of fresh yet fine tannin that adds structure to the finish, along with flavours of spice and liquorice. Just delicious and deserving of its four Gold Medals.

It is generous and flavoursome on the palate, and delivers loads of tasty flavours, finishing long and succulent. The wine offers delectable fruit flavours with a warm spicy finish. At its best: now to 2017." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

1 x Calmel & JJoseph Faugeres 2014

AWARDED 16/20 POINTS: Janics Robinson MW 2016

AWARDED BRONZE MEDAL: International Wine Challanege 2016

This is cracking good stuff, really. A delicious blend of Syrah, Grenache and Carignan (the Syrah vines are over 100 years old) in the heart of France's Languedoc region. This blockbuster wine is great value to be sure but it's also an excellent introduction to the little-known region of Faugères. Brightly coloured purple leading to rich red cherry fruit and wonderful rich spice, smooth and silky on the finish.
