Description

"95pts... A very classy Single Vineyard wine" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine.

"Concentrated Riesling with appealing citrus/floral aromas. Medium/dry with an ethereal texture and impeccable balance. Very classy single vineyard wine from an excellent vintage" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine.

"Elegantly fragrant, the inviting bouquet shows lemon/lime zest, white stone fruit and floral, which lead to a focused and finely poised palate that offers whispering sweetness and racy acidity. It is taut, pure and bright, and shows irresistible charm of a fine young riesling. At its best: now to 2022" Sam Kim Wine Orbit

The front palate shows bright citrus notes which give way to full  flavours of crunchy nectarine and honeysuckle. The juicy lemonade acidity delivers harmony and balance to the palate with subtle underlying textural minerality. Notes of citrus pith, elderflower and stonefruit. Blossom, with a hint of spice.

The grapes were hand picked at optimal ripeness and whole bunch pressed. The free run juice was cold settled and racked a few days later.  A  long  and  slow  fermentation  ensued to maintain freshness and bought rimary riesling notes.  Once the wine was arrested at optimal balance it was cold setlled and racked, to then be fined, filtered and bottled on the 28th August 2014.
