Fruit for this wine comes from several vineyards throughout Marlborough where the grapes were harvested when they reached optimum ripeness. The 2016 vintage for Sauvignon Blanc in Marlborough was excellent, with outstanding fruit intensity and depth of flavour.
Intense aromas of grapefruit and citrus blossom fill the nose. Vibrant and light in body, the palate shows typical Marlborough Sauvignon flavours including citrus, passionfruit, gooseberry and rockmelon. A succulent wine drinking beautifully now or up to two years from vintage date.
A perfect match with whitebait fritters, fresh fish with lemon and herb sauce or leafy green salad.
Marlborough’s worst ever fire, Boxing Day 2000, burnt 6,000 ha, for over three days, killed thousands of stock and threatened the wine town of Blenheim, as well as a number of vineyards and wineries.
Disaster was avoided by the brave residents, of what is now known as Fireroad, who battled the blaze, by using buckets and hand held hoses and were eventually assisted by a fortunate wind shift.

Wine arrived today. Chilled a bottle and tried it. It was better than we thought at the price offered and with the free freight. We have never bought a whole case before of any wine of the same type so were taking a risk and are now pleased we did. We like this Sav, it is our favorite house (Home) wine, great with all seafood and BBQ. Fresh, fruity, quenching and honestly simple. We don't know its origin but it must come from a good home of quality as it is kind to you also. We give it a five for its constant value for money and all it does for us.
