Description

"Smooth and creamy, this tasty chardonnay shows nectarine, rockmelon and cashew characters with subtle vanilla complexity. It's beautifully ripe and flavoursome on the palate, while remaining elegant, delivering lovely fruit intensity and silky texture, finishing long and succulent. Upfront and appealing, and offers terrific value. At its best: now to 2018." Sam Kim, Wine Orbit. April 2016

The 2015 Kingfisher Chardonnay grapes are sourced from the Marlborough region, famous for the production of expressive, fruit flavoured wines. The bouquet displays apricot, white peach and a touch of vanilla. The palate shows more of a savoury influence with refined nutty oak balanced with stone fruit flavours and creamy butterscotch.

This wine was cool fermented in order to retain fruit flavour and freshness. A proportion was oak fermented and underwent malolactic fermentation to help add complexity, texture and palate weight.

At its best now until 2018. Perfect for drinking on its own or delicious with chicken casserole, egg fried rice or creamy mushroom tagliatelle.

Perfectly fine as a quaffer and it does represent very good value for money. More than lives up to expectation.

Peter - 25/01/2018

A light style of chardonnay, very drinkable as a quaffing wine.

Marie - 12/12/2017

Not as many Chardonnay options as Sav

Dave - 10/12/2017

Consistently great value

Alan - 07/07/2017

Great quaffing wine for the price. Don't serve too cold as it opens up its flavours when just above room temp
