Description
"This is impressively ripe and plush with fragrant aromas of dark plum, cherry, game and roasted nuts. The palate is beautifully weighted and silky with excellent fruit richness, well supported by supple tannins." Sam Kim Wine Orbit
Intense ruby-coloured with a generous and inviting aroma which evokes strawberries and raspberries, with a hint of spice (nutmeg, pepper.) and toasted, creamy notes of vanilla and coffe from the oak. Rich and tasty on the palate with well fused fruit and oak, refined tannins and a delicious hint of spice on the finish. Perfect with grilled, roasted or casseroled meats, tapas, pastas and cheese.
From Finca Muñoz a family owned winery founded in 1940 in Toledo, around 60km south of Madrid. Sourced from 20 year-old vines grown in what today is the largest wine-producing region in the world, La Mancha. Here, the vines are grown between 500 and 700 metres above sea level and endure temperatures that range from 0°C in the winter to 40°C in the summer - ideal climate conditions to produce extraordinary, concentrated well-priced wines.A cool pre-ferment maceration preserves fruit-freshness, 12 days ferment on skins, ensures richness of flavour and 3 months maturation in American oak barrels softens tannins.
