Description

Another Gold Medal, for the third year running! More incredible value from Spain - if you havent tried these wines do it today, you wont regret it!

A generous, smooth and ripe-tasting Rioja which has plenty of creamy oaky flavour from 12 months in American barrels to balance the fruit.

Antonio Sanz founded this estate in April 1989, with the help of two of his friends and fellow wine lovers, and it has gone on to achieve great popularity, particularly for its work with the lesser-known graciano grape native to the Navarra region. It is now run by the second generation of the Sanz family, brothers Xabi and Iñaki, who oversee sales and winemaking respectively. The brothers have injected a new lease of life into the portfolio, and were both responsible for creating the highly successful Reynoble wine range.

This is a fab drop for the $$ - almost don't want to tell people so as to keep it a secret!

I love Tempranillo - I wasn't sure what the Crianza was but see it means "reserve" or "aged". It tastes very similar to a full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot. Good value for money.
