Description
As canny wine buyers know, the word Villages on a Côtes du Rhône label indicates a step up in quality. The top villages enjoy a similar soil and climate to Châteauneuf, without the price tag!. You'll find lush velvety fruit with spice and herb notes. VOILA!
Awarded Rhône Villages triumph from the edge of the Châteauneuf-du-Pape
The wine is beautifully fragrant and inviting on the nose displaying dark plum and blueberry characters with subtle spice and roasted almond notes. It is ripe, rounded and supple on the palate showing lovely fruit richness, finishing long and smooth. A modern expression offering terrific drinking.
This is a lovely red that perfectly captures the ripeness, depth and gluggable drinkability of good quality Côtes du Rhônes. Full of the classic rich and warm southern French characters; a plummy and juicy silky smooth red with black forest fruit flavours and a spicy edge. This wine is delicious drinking right now and a very versatile wine to match with food.

Very good drop particularly after being decanted.

Ok as a general quaffer; just not quite up there with some of the other "Villages"

Seems ready now and You don't notice the high Alcohol as it's a light dry red. Expected a bit more grunt seeing it's step up from a normal Cotes du Rhone being A Villages.!!
