An elegant nose, fresh with lively pear and stone fruits, attractive notes of mineral and flint. Medium bodied with flavours of pear and apple combined with a touch of bread crust. Mouth filling and smooth with lively acids and a touch gingery spice towards the lengthy back palate.
The fruit for this Pinot Gris comes from a selection of vineyards with moderate fertility in the Wairau and Awatere valleys. The grapes were carefully monitored during maturity to ensure they were harvested at the peak of flavour development and ripeness. Once at the winery, the fruit was pressed and cold settled. The juice was then fermented in stainless steel at cold temperatures to preserve purity of flavour.
Recommended as an aperitif or with light entries such as smoked Marlborough salmon or lightly spiced cuisine. Drinking beautifully now or at its best over the next 3-4 years.

I haven't been drinking wine for a while as I often have an allergic reaction with sneezing etc. and the taste changes that I can't drink a full glass. One glass of this was lovely and managed to finish it.

Good value with plenty of pinot gris recognisable traits. Easy drinking for people who like distinctive p/g flavours and a fullness that is not often found in NZ pinot gris wines at this price point
