The wine shows wonderful purity. It's beautifully perfumed on the nose displaying aromas of dark plum, blueberry, floral and subtle spice complexity. The palate is ripe and focused with excellent fruit intensity and supple mouthfeel, leading to a lingering succulent finish. Excellent value. At its best: now to 2018. This delicious Hawkes Bay Syrah displays flavours of ripe blackcurrant and blackberry. The palate is weighty with fresh acidity and silky fine structure. A lengthy finish shows elements of spice and freshly brewed coffee.

The wine underwent malolactic fermentation while aging in a mixture of oak and stainless steel.  It was then gently extracted, blended and prepared for bottling.

Drinking beautifully now this W5 Syrah can be enjoyed young or with careful cellaring will mature over the next 5 years from vintage date.

Enjoy with venison steaks or a range of BBQ meat dishes.
