Description

  • Dry style
  • Strawberry
  • Bright citrus
  • Crisp finish

"Very bright with salmon pink hues and a bold fruity bouquet showcasing scents of raspberry and fresh red cherry, some apple and fruit punch qualities. A rounded almost creamy texture touches the palate first then flavours of fresh cherry and some quince, tropical fruit punch and cranberry. Light-weighted with a soft rounded texture, contrasting acid line and balanced even finish. Best drinking from 2023 through end of summer 2025" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Oct 2023

With a delicate pink hue, the nose on this wine offers pronounced, attractive strawberry and raspberry notes while the expressive palate has plenty of berry and citrus flavours leading to a crisp, dry finish.

Spiritually, the mandala pattern is said to help transform ordinary minds into enlightened ones, while the shape symbolises balance and perfection. The colour pink represents compassion and glamour while silver is said to restore balance.

The Pinot Noir grapes for this wine came from our Chaytor’s Road vineyard where the gravel soils and coastal influence produce grapes with bright, ripe, fruity characters. These 20-year-old vines grow large bunches and big berries that are ideally suited to Rosé. We harvest the grapes early in the season to retain the fresh acidity and keep the alcohol at a moderate level.

The grapes for this wine were harvested on the 15th of March at 22 brix and in perfect condition. They were pressed immediately, and the skins taken off the juice straight away to minimise colour influence and ensure a lovely, pale pink. The juice was then cool-fermented with a cultured yeast, specifically chosen to enhance the natural, berry fruit aromas and flavours.
