Description

  • Dry style
  • White florals
  • Pear & herbs
  • Crisp acidity

Brilliant straw yellow with golden highlights. Reveals white floral notes (lily of the valley and jasmine), tree fruit and mineral (flint) on the nose. Creamy and savory, it delivers ripe pear, aromatic herbs and mineral alongside crisp acidity.

This is their little prince, the worthy heir of the illustrious Trebbiano di Soave: an historical grape variety that has almost been forgotten, is often misundersood and confused. Massifitti is the result of a long and adventurous journey that they have embarked on at the origins of this ancient Trebbiano in order to rediscover its character and authentic nature. This wine, born and bred on Fittà Basalt, is a tribute to their land and its history of which they are the guardians.

To produce this wine the most interesting of the old Trebbiano di Soave vines which live in their high hill vineyards, have been selected and multiplied in collaboration with the Agriculture Faculty University of Milan, creating a new vineyard entirely dedicated to this interesting but little known variety.

Grapes were manually harvested in crates and then whole bunch soft pressed. Wine was fermented without skins in steel vats with natural yeasts for 15 days at 15-16ºC. Wine matured for 15 months in steel vats in contact with fine sediments before ageing for 12 months in bottle. It was only filtered once before bottling.

Food Pairing: Excellent with raw fish (oysters) and sushi. It goes very well with vegetable and fish first and main courses.
