Light straw yellow. Citrus lemon, and melon with subtle notes of butter caramel on the finish. Ripe peach, fresh, luscious and tropical citrus with hints of lemon zest and pastry notes. A focused acid drive mingles with softly textured phenolics through to the finish.
The majority of fruit is harvested from our Falcon Vineyard and blended with other carefully selected blocks from Marlborough’s Wairau Valley.
Fermented and oaked in tank before moving to French oak barriques for the final months of maturation in the seasoned casks. Only a few parcels of fruit undergo malolactic fermentation, the rest were left untouched giving the final blend an acid driven and clean fresh palate.
