"It’s safe to say that 2018 is a top vintage. I am certainly going to buy and drink some in the future. And I am sure you will too. The plush fruit and ripe tannins make so many of the wines attractive to drink young but they have the structure to age for a long time. It’s typical for a hot and dry year like 2009, 1989, 1982 and so on" James Suckling

"It’s a vintage with outstanding wines at all levels." Neal Martin, Vinous Media

"The 2018 Château Bois Pertuis sports a saturated purple colour as well as a ripe, powerful bouquet of black cherries, melted liquorice, and asphalt. Ripe and sexy, it offers tons of fruit, moderate acidity, and a great finish" Jeb Dunnuck

Chateau Bois Pertuis offers a lovely garnet red colour, with brilliant shades of violet. The nose is powerful, complex and offers spicy, delicate mocha and vanilla aromas. On the palate, the wine is full and well-balanced, with delicious notes of morello cherry, and chocolate. It ends on a long finish.

Chateau Bois Pertuis belongs to the Family Helfrich and is located in Saint-Christophe-de-Double.  The estate is 72 hectares and stretches over a terroir 20 km north of Saint-Emilion. The terroir is made up of gravel and sand which brings real finesse to the wines, this combined with a portion planted on clay which adds richness. Yields are controlled to obtain the right balance and concentration.
