Description
- Red berries
- Grapefruit
- Toasted nuts
- Long finish
The wine is straw yellow in colour. The nose is fresh and lifted with toasty and bready notes. Fleshed and rounded, the palate shows bright red berries with underlying grapefruit flavours balanced by secondary yeast autolysis characters of toasted nuts. Elegant and well balanced with a long, lingering aftertaste.
Deutz Marlborough Cuvée is the unique result of a winemaking partnership started in 1988 between Montana Wines and the prestigious House of Deutz in Champagne. Marrying the best of New Zealand grapes with traditional French Champagne-making techniques, the result is an awardwinning New World Cuvée – Deutz Marlborough Cuvée – establishing a new benchmark of New Zealand wine excellence and creating a new market category of its own.
Designed for drinking upon release, Deutz Marlborough Cuvée will nevertheless gain additional toasty nuances with careful cellaring.
Food Pairing: An outstanding aperitif, Deutz Marlborough Cuvée is also the perfect match with canapés.
