"Aromas and flavours of ripe fresh bing cherry and strawberry. A floral seam is persistent through the palate. Bright, fresh, crunchy and fruity with a young red apple skin and red cherry flavour. Nice to have a lower alcohol rosé  option. Balanced and well made. Ready to enjoy from today and through 2022" Cameron Douglas, MS, Oct 2020

"Very light colour, reflecting in the subtle flavours and the lower alcohol statement. Very nice summer drink, dry and refreshing" Peter Saunders Review, May 2020

"It's elegantly fragrant on the nose showing crunchy apple, citrus peel, floral and subtle raspberry aromas, leading to a juicy palate that delivers light body and refreshing mouthfeel. Charming and delightfully tasty" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Aug 2020

The 2020 vintage will pour very light salmon pink in the glass with aromas of fresh raspberries, nectarine and candied fruit. Clean and dry, just like its sister wine Sara's Rosé, subtle flavours on the pallet and very refreshing. This lower alcohol Rosé is a delightfully light drop!

Marlborough 2020 will be a vintage remembered for a number of reasons, mainly for being the vintage that was harvested during a world pandemic. New Zealand went into Level 4 lock down on midnight March 25th, which was the most critical time for harvest. Despite these unprecedented circumstances, the harvest was of exceptional quality, some of the best the region had seen in years.

Overall, the Marlborough growing season was slightly longer and temperatures cooled toward the end of the season resulting in fuller flavoured fruit. A warm spring allowed the vines to evade frost, while an above-average rainfall lead to early flowering. The last significant spell of rainfall was mid-December with only 21mm between then and the end of harvest. Luckily the temperatures in January and February were more moderate than compared to the previous year, which reduced some of the effects of drought and lead to healthy fruit. The 2020 harvest, despite some unusual circumstances have produced some exceptional wines!

Food Pairing: We recommend this light and refreshing Rosé to be pair with nibbles or light canapés!
