Description

  • Dry style
  • Floral notes
  • Subtle spice
  • Strawberry & raspberry

"It's finely scented on the nose showing white flesh nectarine, raspberry, subtle spice and Gala apple characters. The palate delivers elegant weight and lovely flow, beautifully complemented by fine texture and juicy acidity. A terrific rendition offering fabulous drinking" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit

"A blend of grenache and syrah. Attractively aromatic dry rosé with floral, savoury, earth, bacon and spice flavours. More vinous than fruity. Quite a pleasing, complex and smooth-textured wine" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review

This wine is a complex blend of the classic Cotes-du-Rhone grape varieties Grenache, Syrah and Cinsault. Seductive and well-balanced this rose displays floral aromas with hints of strawberry and raspberry infused with delicate herbs. It is fresh, vibrant, fruity, refreshing and easy-drinking in style.

A delicious, elegant, dry Southern Rhône rosé hailing from respected French winemaker Gabriel Meffre, family-owned since 1936. The vines grow on clay limestone soils from the 2 banks of the Rhône river. With a Mediterranean climate renowned for its contrasts, they benefit from the Summer heat and the Mistral wind. Terres de Galets Cotes du Rhone takes its name from the smooth, white pebble stones called ‘Galets’ which are found in the vineyards. They reflect the light and heat of the sun to help ripen the grapes and create an intensely fruity, flavourful wine.

Each grape variety is vinified individually. The grapes are de-stemmed and crushed followed by a low-temperature fermentation. Racking of clear juices and blocking of the malolactic fermentation.

Food Pairing: Delicious on its own or with seafood, barbecues and mixed salads.
