Description

  • Fresh tropical fruit
  • Soft white spices
  • Peach & citrus
  • 10% barrel fermented

"This rich and quite weighty sauvignon blanc has clearly benefited from a 10% barrel fermented component that added flesh and flavour without compromising flavour intensity. Passionfruit, guava, lime and green capsicum flavours. 2019–2023" Bob Campbell, Aug 2019

“This certified Bio-gro example has a lovely bouquet both classic and modern - aromas and flavours of baked bell-pepper, grass, tropical fruit, citrus and peach. Dry on the palate with flavours could be nothing else other than Sauvignon Blanc - reflecting the bouquet with herbs, white spices and ripe fruits. Lengthy, balanced and well made. Drink now and through 2023” Cameron Douglas, Aug 2019

"If only all certified organic wines displayed their ‘street cred’ as boldly as this one, with its elegant but no holds barred organic logo on the front label. It’s a newcomer on the Sauvignon scene and is dry, medium bodied and powerful - a style that drinks well now and has great ageing potential too" Joelle Thomson, Feb 2020

The focus of 100% family owned Windrush Organic is and will always be growing premium certified organic grapes. Soil management is their priority and they believe strongly in investing in people, farm machinery and diligent operations. Their wine is made in the style they like to drink – it’s honest, it’s real and it’s thoughtful. It tastes as good as the grapes, and there is no hiding from the vintage. They asked a good friend to make their wine, Cullen Neal is a vineyard manager as well as a winemaker and has a great understanding of organic viticulture.
