Description

  • Dry style
  • 100% Chardonnay
  • Ripe stone fruit
  • Fresh baked-bread

"Made from 100% Chardonnay, with seven years in the bottle with the yeasty lees. Delicious wine that is still surprisingly fresh with ripe Chardonnay and fresh-baked bread yeast flavour. A stylish, silken-textured wine with a hint of sweetness and a drying finish" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Dec 2019

"It is elegantly expressed on the nose showing ripe stone fruit, mango, fig and subtle yeasty characters with savoury nuances. The palate delivers generous weight and creamy mouthfeel backed by refreshing acidity, finishing vibrant and lingering" Wine Orbit

The wine displays bright, golden hues in the glass accompanied by aromas of citrus, bread & vanilla. The palate has a gorgeous freshness, finishing decadent and creamy.

The grapes were hand selected then whole bunch pressed with only the cuvee free run juice going straight to barrel for fermentation. The wines were then aged in older barrels for 9 months. The wine was then bottled in 2012 and stored in the bottle for 7 years on yeast lees prior to disgorgement, which occurred in November 2019. Only 1600 bottles are made, with each bottle individually numbered.

Food Pairing: Pair with a chicken ceasar salad or a Summer seafood platter.
