A light blush Salmon colour in the glass. On the nose, strawberry and cherries with floral notes. Followed by strawberries and cream flavours on the palate with a lovely dry finish.
The grapes for this wine were carefully selected from the Tietjen vineyard. The clone used here is Dijon 777 and the vines are carefully managed to produce a quality table wine. With only three canes laid down for the growing season, the lower yields ensured early ripeness with intense flavours.
The juice for the Rosé was syphoned from Pinot Noir and cool soaked prior to fermentation once the colour and flavour had reached the perfect intensity for this style. After slight clarification, the juice was fermented at cool temperatures to maximise red berry flavours and floral aromatics in the final wine. The use of gentle fining agents prior to filtration has ensured that the resulting wine has silken texture and is brimming with flavours and aromas.
