Pale salmon in colour, this Mediterranean style Rosé is savoury with fresh herb aromas of fennel pollen, wild thyme, liquorice plant and sherbet, overlaying nuances of almond blossom, white peach and mandarin. The zesty palate exudes fleshy tamarillo, citrus pith and blackcurrant with touches of spice and wet stone. This elegant Rosé is perfectly poised and complex, delivering a briny fresh, vibrant and dry finish.
Isle of Beauty is the evocative name given to the French island of Corsica, located in the Mediterranean Sea. This is where winemaker David Clouston learnt his craft and became passionate about Rosé.
After a beautifully warm but excessively dry Summer, harvest began three weeks ahead of normal. It was an amazing vintage with pristine fruit, small berries, and great concentration. Treated as a white wine in the winery - this Rosé was pressed off the skins early, fermented cold and then aged for 10 weeks in stainless steel and concrete egg tanks to accentuate complexity and minerality.
