Description
"This is bright, fresh and charming on the nose with raspberry coulis, watermelon, citrus and red apple characters. The palate is light and juicy, offering vibrant fruit flavours and fine texture, beautifully supported by crisp acidity. At its best: now to 2019" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Mar 2018
This blend of Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault is bright, rose petal pink in the glass with a delightful floral nose with an amylic note. The palate is clean on entry, with nice acid balance. A full bodied wine is enhanced by notes of white-fleshed fruit.
The Grenache grapes are grown on clay and limestone soils mainly facing directly East, while the Syrah and Cinsaults are planted on the plain in predominantly sandy soils.
In the winery the musts under go very little racking in order to develop the wine’s volume yet maintain its freshness. Balance is the golden rule. Alcoholic fermentation takes place at low temperature for 15 days and then the wine is aged on its fine lees in stainless steel or concrete vats for 3-4 months. Ideal serving temperature is between 10-12c.
Food Pairing: This beautiful summer drop will enhance any summer cuisine such as fresh crisp salads or a BBQ.
