Grown in the Pisa and Gibbston sub-regions, the vintage was a beautiful sunny season, cooler than average  with a damp start but extended warm finish.
resulting in a cool flowering period and frosts reduced overall yields. OIn the winery multiple pinot fermenters had 6% of their free-run juice drained off throughout vintage, while other parcels were pressed gently on picking. Fermentation proceeded in stainless steel at ~14-16C to retain aromatics, and stopped short of dryness to further enhance the bright fruit characters.
