Quite aromatic on the nose, with balanced American oak notes. Floral, malty, grassy, vanilla and honey with hints of tobacco and nutmeg. The palate is sweet and spicy, citrus, barley sugar, gingerbread, Manuka honey and white pepper flavours. Finishing with a dry and spicy with a warming gingery honeyed tail.

The 18 Y.O was originally laid down in hogshead casks our Master Distiller, Ian MacMillan, transferred this Deanston single malt whisky into carefully selected first fill Kentucky bourbon casks and returned them to the heart of our vaulted warehouse at Deanston Distillery. With meter thick stone walls and roof this unique warehouse ensures a steady temperature that provides year round, smooth and even maturation. Here the casks have slept, undisturbed, in the quietest part of the warehouse only to be awakened when the Master Distiller was confident in the quality and excellence of the spirit. The Deanston signature profile of sweet, honeyed fruit with a deep rich finish has been amplified to reach perfection. Deanston 18 Year Old is the very best that nature, knowledge and patience can provide. Un-Chill Filtered, this addition to the Deanston family retains all of its natural flavour and character.
