'It has a killer mid-palate, sweet tannin and a big finish, all of which make it just about impossible to resist' Robert Parker's - The Wine Advocate
Always a value and well-known Rhône oenologist Philippe Cambie’s own label, the 2015 Côtes du Rhône Villages Plan de Dieu Calendal is a blockbuster blend of 70% Grenache and 30% Mourvèdre that offers full-bodied, rich, even decadent notes of cassis, crushed flowers, licorice and hints of vanilla bean. It has a killer mid-palate, sweet tannin and a big finish, all of which make it just about impossible to resist. Still, it should keep nicely for at least 5-7 years.
The personal project of the visionary and genius oenologist Philippe Cambie and his partner Gilles Ferran, this equal part blend of Mourvedre and Grenache has produced an allocation of 10 cases for the New Zealand market. Move fast!
