Description
"It is sweetly fragrant on the nose displaying dark plum, truffle, cedar and mixed spice aromas with a hint of dried herb undertones. The palate offers excellent fruit weight and silky texture, together with fine, grainy mouthfeel and a lingering smooth finish. The wine shows wonderful harmony and integration, and flows beautifully to a delicious finish. At its best: now to 2020." Oct 2015. Sam Kim
Fifth Bridge Pinot noir is named after the 5th bridge between Bannockburn and Cromwell - the heart of the iconic grape growing region of Central Otago. The bridge has linked the two communities since the gold mining era of the late 1800's, as it does now with the modern gold of stunning regional wines.
Made by winemaker Matt Dicey, the wine shows aromas of red and black forest berries with hints of dried herb, adding complexity. Flavours of supple dark berries with texture, flow through the mid palate. The ripe tannins give texture to finish the wine, and balance the acidity and fruit.
