Description
Hints of spicy aromas intermingle with ripe cherry and black Kalamata olives. Elegant intensity and concentrated fruit flavours of luscious blackcurrants and lively red cherries interlaced with toasted spice and fresh coffee. This wine is well balanced with ripe tannins that compliment warm savoury notes and a lifted finish.
The grapes for this wine were sourced from a number of specifically chosen low cropping vineyards of the Wairau Plains. Matured in a mixture of well-handled French oak and stainless steel tanks, this wine is drinking beautifully now and has potential to age further. A perfect accompaniment with chicken kebabs or lamb rack.
