Lawson's Dry Hills Marlborough Pinot Rosé 2016
Description
Delicate pink in colour with strong strawberry, elderberry and red berry characters on the nose. The palate is off-dry and appealing with restrained acidity. The seductive aromas on the nose are repeated on the palate and enhanced by a juicy, succulent texture.
Drink this Pinot Rosé chilled with antipasto or a light summer lunch. Wonderful as a refreshing glass of wine at the end of a long day.
After the harvest the grapes were macerated for twenty four hours to extract both colour and flavour before gentle pressing. This Pinot Rosé was fermented in stainless tanks at cool temperatures to retain the delicate fruit characters.
The Pinot Noir grapes for this Rosé were picked early in the season to ensure a moderate alcohol level and to retain the bright berry fruit characters. Sourced from two vineyards, our own Chaytors Road vineyard and the other a Rapaura vineyard. These two vineyards were specially selected for the production of our Rosé, the vines are a mix eleven year old 10/5 and an older Dijon clone.
