Cherry red to garnet in colour. The nose reveals blueberry and violets, plum, vanilla and quince with hints of native flora, bay leaf and anise. Subtle, seductive and showing lovely balance between fruit and spice, the palate is true to the variety, elegant and minerally with fine tannins.
Vintage 2021 produced Merlot grapes of balance, style and exceptional varietal characteristics. Good winter and spring rains enabled the vines to grow healthy canopies. Summer was warm to mild with cool nights that led to the development of fabulous colour, pristine aromatics and flavours with good natural acidity.
