  • Ripe plum & cherry
  • Dark chocolate
  • Supple tannins

"The refined, very age-worthy 2019 vintage was estate-grown in Hawke's Bay and matured for 16 months in French oak casks (60 per cent new). Deep and youthful in colour, it has concentrated, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, seasoned with nutty oak, impressive complexity and fine, supple tannins. Best drinking 2024+" Michael Cooper

"Aromas of red and dark red plum, violet and sweet spices of new barrel with soft brown sugar and vanilla scents. Youthful, plump and nicely complex bouquet. Quite delicious on the palate with a salty salivating start then a core of plum and red berry flavours reflect the bouquet. Firm tannins, oak and acidity set the foundation with flavours of plum and berries for contrast and deliciousness. Well made, youthful and ready for drinking from late 2022 through 2030" Cameron Douglas, Master Sommelier, Jan 2022

"Flagship Merlot with ripe plum, dark berry, floral, liquorice, dark chocolate and nutty oak flavours. A nicely structured red that is approachable now but no rush" Bob Campbell, Master of Wine, Real Review, Jul 2021

An immediately alluring bouquet of ripe red fruit and spicy oak. The palate is loaded with rich plum flavours combined with dark berries and classic merlot savoury characters.

Harvested from our Gimblett road vineyard. Predominately fermented in closed stainless steel fermenters, then aged in barrel for approximately 14 months. Regular racking occurred with blending in November 2020.
