"An appealing soft red with ripe berry, mixed spice and savoury notes, it's juicy and rounded with a mellow fruity finish. At its best: now to 2023" Sam Kim, Wine Orbit, Feb 2022
Cherry red in colour. Fresh Red berries with hints of spice and black pepper. A fruit driven wine with well integrated oak giving spice and pepper undertones. A medium bodied wine with soft tannins and good length.
Sourced from vineyards in South Eastern Australia, the parcels were carefully selected from various soil types to ensure a balance of style and flavour. Conditions for vintage were ideal, yields were good, and the fruit was in excellent condition.
Post fermentation the majority of the wine is matured in stainless steel tanks.
In the winery a cheeky little pig started to make a name for himseld. Random mischevious acts were being encountered, often acompanied by a glimpse of a curly tailed behind scrambling away with the cutest of little snorts. The winemakers could not help but love this little character; so much so that they named a wine after him.
